~"If I buy a package for my chin, can I get treatments on my chin for the first half of the year and then switch it to another area?" No. Packages can not be split up.
~"How often can I come in?" Every 4 to 8 weeks. Typically the areas that are the neck and above can be done every 4 weeks. Anything else has a slower growth cycle. If you come in too soon the roots will not be destroyed.
~"If I start my treatments in the middle of the year can my 1 year of treatments start then?" No. All of the packages will utimately end January 15, 2013. But if you start your treatments in November of this year, your package will expire next November.
~"Can I get more then one package?" No. Only one voucher per person.
*SHAVE*....Yes throughly shave the area to be treated. Even if it is a women's face and a man's hard to reach back. The laser does not work on stubble. If a man comes in unshaven he will likely be turned away because we don't have the 35 to 45 mins it takes to offer a good shaving. If we do have the time the extra cost will be $50.00.
~ How many treatments will I need? 4 to 12 Generally speaking. Light skin with dark hair responds the quickest. Light hair with light skin and dark hair with dark skin take longer. Laser does not work on GRAY hair.
~Is there a risk for a burn? Yes. Do not come in with a sun tan, extended sun exposure or while taking photo sensitive medications. Antibiotics cannot be taken while getting a laser treatment. Contact your pharmacist if you have any questions about your medications. With that being said, lasers are designed to burn specific structures. Burns are a rare yet known side effect from laser hair removal.
~Do you offer a guarantee for the laser treatments I purchase? No. We are using the best equipment available and everyone responds differently.
~We do not offer refunds.
~ What if after I buy this package I don't want to finish it, can I get reimbursed? Sorry. Sometimes we can subsitute prepaid services for other services.
~ How long will the service take? For a small areas 15 mins per treatment, 30 minutes to do full legs or back, and 1 hour for a full body.
~Will it hurt? Most people say it feels like a rubber band snapping you. Numbing gel is available and the cost is $22.00. Some patients say they can't feel anything. And some find the treatment very painful. Each laser has a different feel and each client has their own threshold of pain. It is not uncommon for each service to feel to the same client.
~Who will be doing the treatment? A licensed medical esthetician who is also a laser technician. Between the 7 of us with have over 25 years of experience. We have two men who are a part of our staff. WE love them! So will you! However if you prefer a female tech simply book with a one online.
~ How does laser hair removal work? Please refer to the laser hair removal page for more information. But basically, the laser is concentrated light that hits the root of the hair in the form of heat. When the light comes accross the hair a mini explosion occurs. This is when the root typically dies.
~ Why do I have to come more then 1 or 2 times? Because there are 3 different growth stages of a hair. The formation, growth and dormant phase. The hair can only be killed in the first two stages. So basically we have a 2 in 3 chance of killing a hair each time you come.
~ Is it important to come at the scheduled appointments? Yes. Ideally we do treatments every 4 to 12 weeks according to the area. Coming at the proper times will give you better long term results. The first appointment must be scheduled within 1 year and the 4 or 6 sessions need to be completed within 1 year.
~If I have darker skin can I get laser hair removal? Yes. You will have to schedule a test spot treatment first. And it take between 6 to 10 treatments to get desired results.
~Will all my hair be gone when I'm finished with my package? Probably not every single hair. Most people will see 50% to 90% reduction after a package. The better someone shaves and not missing appointments will assure better results. Darker skinned people will need more treatments.
~ Can hair grow back? If a root was killed it will not come back. However, sometimes the laser only stunts the growth of the hair and it will grow back in 8 to 12 weeks. Also in some instances people experience odd hormone fluctuations. Like during pregnancy and growing older. The body does have the ability to create new hair follicles.
~What if I decide not to finish my package, can I get reimbursed for the left over treatments? No. WE DO NO GIVE REFUND ON SERVICES, PARTIAL PAYMENTS OR UNUSED PACKAGES.
~ Can I share my treatments with other people? Sorry, NON-TRANSFERABLE.
~ If I buy a package of 4 or 6 treatments, can I do lets say 3 treatments in one area and 3 treatments in a different area? No. However, ask us about other special deal packages. We are offering special pricing for purchasers of specials.
~What can I expect after every treatment? Most people are red and some some have hives. This usually goes away after a few hours to 48 hours. However if you are a person who is allergic to a lot of different things, like bees, it could take longer. If you have an allergic reaction start taking antihistamines and applying hydrocortizone immediately. Intitallally you will not notice any differerence in your reduction. Your hair does not fall out nor does your hair disintegrate in the follicle. However after a few weeks you will begin to see patches of baldness
~When will I begin to see results. Most people do not notice a reduction in hair until after the 3rd or 4th treatment. Darker skinned clients usually notice a reduction after the 4th to 6th treatment.
~ What do I do if I get irritated? If you get hives you should use hydrocortisone and take antihistamines. Only the 24 hr ones, like Zyrtec.
~ What if I get burned? Call us. Apply ice to the area in 10 minute intervals for the first 24hrs. DON'T COME IN TAN! If you start any new medication ask your pharmacist if it will make you photosensitive.
~Please dont try to use your GPS or Google map. They will not get you here. Print out directions from our site.

~ SHAVE SHAVE SHAVE before coming. Yes even women's faces. We don't have razors.
~The doors to the Northwest Medical Center are locked after 7 on weekdays and 3 on Saturdays. We will have to walk down to let you in. Please park on level G so we can meet you at the door.
~NO TAN, NO DIRECT SUN FOR 14 DAYS before and after the treatment.
~The laser doesn't work on grey or very blond hair. If you are going on a beach vacation it is important to come to us before the trip. NOT after. You can get a burn if you come in too close after sun exposure. If you expose the treated area to sun too soon to the treatment you will run the risk of hyperpigmentation. Wait 2 weeks. Nevertheless you still can't have any tan.
~NO tweezing. NO waxing.
~Laser cannot be used on pregnant women.
~Due to our high volume we sometimes (but rarely) have to move clients mid service to a different room. Certain lasers can only be used on certain skin types and to help keep the wait time down we have to shuffle you to another room (again this is very rare)
