Microneedling is also an excellent treatment option for firming skin, treating brown spots, and smoothing acne scars. It is an effective treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, and is recognized as a great alternative or enhancement for Botox and injectable fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane. The treatment utilizes tiny needles to create micro channels in the top layer of skin, then stimulating the lower layers to produce more collagen and elastin. This will stimulate the body to self-repair with more structural support. These tiny channels also allow products applied to the surface to penetrate deep into the skin to heal the effects of aging much more quickly. The effect is thicker dermal and epidermal tissue with less creases, smoother color and tighter pores!
